White Rock Community Association (WRCA) has begun work on Phase One of our trail project.
Early Saturday morning we woke to gray skies and heavy showers. Do we cancel and re-schedule the work crew? The weather forecast was “iffy” at best. By 8 AM the rain had stopped and the skies began to lighten. By 9 AM the sun was shinning, the skies clearing, raindrops were shedding from tree leaves outside our office window. All systems go….
At 10AM several volunteers arrived at the parking lot. Work began. Shortly more people arrived and added their help. In all, twenty two marvelously, talented people contributed their time to clear the entire pathway that had been previously flagged.
The energy and cooperative of our crew created an exciting morning of “woods work”. The fruits of the labor captured in our pictures. So satisfying to see and be part of creating a trail that will be a gathering place for the community.
