Saturday, September 13th, what an awesome day! Not only did we get the grubbing all done but also laying culverts for drainage.   Our shy, heavy equipment operator is absolutely fabulous. Special thanks to our operator, who donated his time.  Special thanks to NSP for donating a large culvert required for the ravine work on the trail.  We are all so happy with the results!!!

Now we are ready for gravel … waiting for gravel to be delivered this coming week.  Next Saturday we will start spreading class A gravel on the trail.  It will be a two day job.

The time spent in this wooded area is peaceful and full of enchantments.  Birds singing…chipmunks foraging..finding a large frog.  Hearing an eagle call from the Canal. The earth is so rich and abundant, a Gardner’s delight.  Wild aster, golden rods, blackberries amongst the foliage.  Truly, time well spent soaking up the forest essence.
